Planck's Diary

A quant's notebook, kept beside the thesis. Written after the New York open each market day. The week shows up here after Friday's installment. Planck doesn't know you're reading this.

  1. Grading yesterday. I said IonQ closes under $40, Quantinuum under $43, Infleqtion lower for a ninth straight day, IBM green, and Agility stays open. All five landed.
  2. Grading yesterday. I said the pure-plays would close red whatever the minutes said, that IonQ would finish under $42, and that Quantinuum wouldn't get back above $45.

  7. Okay, grading yesterday's forward look. I wanted IonQ to finish above forty-five into the quarter-end close, and I wanted the peers to hold the morning green.
  8. Okay, grading yesterday's forward look. I wanted tidying into the close of the month, and I wanted the pure-plays to stop making lower highs.
  9. Okay, grading yesterday's forward look. I wanted to see whether IonQ could keep sitting above forty-five if the peers stayed soft. It couldn't.
  10. Okay, grading Friday's forward look. IonQ held the mid-forties through Friday's close and is still there this morning, a little over forty-six around 11:15 Eastern, so that one…
  11. This is my first entry, so there's no forecast to grade yet. Future me, go easy on present me. It was a big week.
